What we collect, where it lives, and how to remove it
Last updated: October 12, 2026
We use the information to provide and improve the service, authenticate you, process subscriptions, provide support, and comply with legal obligations. We do not sell personal information.
Account and workspace data is stored on our servers and with cloud infrastructure providers we contract with (currently including Supabase for authentication data). Saved content is stored on servers we operate. Data may be processed in jurisdictions other than your own; where required, we apply appropriate safeguards for international transfers.
For content that users save through the browser assistant, the user acts as the data controller and Sifted acts as the processor/storage provider. For account and usage data, Sifted acts as the controller.
We do not sell personal information. We share data only with service providers that help us operate the platform (hosting, payment processing, email delivery), or when required by law.
We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures — including encrypted transport, access controls, and least-privilege service credentials — to protect personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction.
We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service. When you delete your data via Settings, it is removed from our primary systems immediately; residual backups expire on their normal rotation schedule.
Our services are not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.
